EMPATHETIC MIND
As a visual retail manager, I have come to learn that a customer is accustomed to a certain flow of shopping and when that flow is disrupted things can get messy real quick. I have had to find the solutions to the problems these customers presented by using my empathy; as if you don’t start there the problem will just become harder for you and your customer. I go into UX with the same mindset, the user and their problems are what would drive me going into a design.
PROBLEM SOLVER
I love to break down problems into their component parts to fully understand how each part contributes individually and connects them all together to a big picture. I love to create diagrams to help visually approach complex problems.
EAGER LEARNER
As a serial reader, I’m always teaching myself something new and opening my eyes to new perspectives. I love to learn about people and their stories they carry with them. I also love to keep learning about UX as it is constantly shiftfing.
Passions:
Books, books, and more books: Drop me off at a cabin with my books and I would be set in life. I love reading. When I was a kid I used to stay up past bedtime with a flashlight and read as much as I could every school night. My book goal for 2022 year was 80 and I breezed past that to 86 books read. I collect books like no other and I am all ears to the recommendation, I will try any genre!

Short story writing: Writing is a great escape for me as well. I have so many creative adventures flowing through my head that writing them down and creating a story is a great way for me to visualize them. Sun, moon, and stars: Astrology. I love teaching every and anyone about astrology as it’s more complex than people give it credit for. Give me your birth date, time, and location and I would love to read you your Natal Chart. It’s like an extra set of cards to use against life. I’m a Capricorn sun, Scorpio moon, and Capricorn rising.
Music: Making playlists. I love making playlists as I feel music is always with me and motivates me. I make a playlist each year of my favorite songs. My latest 2022 Spotify playlist.
Drawing: To push my graphic design skills I have been getting back into drawing and using Procreate on the iPad. I usually had stuck to paper and pencil but with the ever-changing use of drawing apps, I pushed myself to put my skills there. Some examples.
Being a Mother: Last but definitely not least being a Mom to three kids (plus a few fur, garden, and plant babies!) is the most rewarding, challenging, and fulfilling adventure I have been on.
